NXTLVL IN SAN FRANCISCO AT 222 HYDE EVERY THIRD WEDNESDAY

There are many well-tread dance nights out there (60's dance craze, booty bass, 90's hip hop et al.) and yet there isn’t a single night out there that claims to bring the newest genre-defying electronic dance cuts to the masses…enter the NXTLVL night. Debuting at 222 Hyde on ...July 16th, the NXTLVL residents will drop future-forward bass heavy party jams on the clubs infamous Turbo Sound-system. The night begins at 10pm and goes until 2am, with only a measly $5 cover.

The night was started initially by DJs HOTTHOBO and DANNY GLOVERRR, who were looking for night that played the newest, most forward club jams outside of a strict genre specific night, “We were looking for a night that incorporated all these things we love. There are so many tracks that are just the cusp of what’s next in dance music; they don’t quite fit into any specific genre category yet, and then there are those from specific genres that are just leave all the other tracks in the dust. Since there wasn’t a night in SF that does that, we felt the need to assemble like-minded DJs, and then highlight all those tunes that are NXTLVL, and play them on a banging sound-system. We’ve been doing our homework and scouring record stores and the interwebs for the newest artists, producers, remixes, re-edits, and dance-floor melts.”

You can download the 1st NXTLVL mix, which is compiled by HOTTHOBO and DANNY GLOVERRR at www.nxtlvlsf.com. Additionally the crew will be making a very small run of limited edition CDs of the mix to give away to the first 25 people to attend the night.

About the resident DJs:
HOTTHOBO: Curates and puts on the Grow Up dance night (italo/disco boogie) at Amnesia, and co-owns/runs Voltaire Records (www.voltairerecords.com), an electronic-based music imprint.

SPINNERTY: Co-founder of GKR (Grown Kids Radio) http://www.grownkidsradio.com/, has produced/released a deep catalogue on several labels, and has shared the stage with KRS-One, Diplo, RJD2, etc.

B MAJ: Another co-founder of GKR, spun local venues such as the Mezzanine and SOM, and shared the stage with Amon Tobin, Dizzee Rascal, and Kid Koala.

DANNY GLOVERRR: Former keyboard player of the San Francisco based group, Maus Haus, ½ of the production duo Airbody, a working visual artist in SF, regularly guesting at venues like 111, the KO, Argus, WISH, etc.
